Howard Hughes Corp.'s new 38-story residential tower is making
its mark on Honolulu's Auahi Street, complete with a glass-bottom
pool cantilevered 75 feet in the air that freezes passersby in their
tracks. Part of a 60-acre, master-planned communi, Anaha at Ward
Village was designed by Chicago-based Solomon Cordwell Buenz and
Honolulu's Benjamin Woo Architects. Living options include studios,
one- to three-bedroom tower residences, low-rise flats and split-level
townhomes atop 16,000 square feet of retail space (current inventory
starts at $4.8 million), with Woods Bagot Interiors-designed environs
highlighted by floor-to-ceiling glass walls and Juliet balconies offering
ocean and mountain views. In addition to the striking pool, other
amenities range from a rooop playground, gym and sand volleyball
court, to a fitness center and dog park. Says Bonnie Wedemeyer,
Howard Hughes Corp's senior vice president of sales: "Anaha
