Tell us a few of your favorite Westside spots. Where do you like to eat, go for walks or hikes, shop, watch the sunset? For meals, I love Giorgi Baldi on Channel Road, Kai Ramen on Montana Avenue, Takao in Brentwood for amazing sushi, and Cora's Coffee Shoppe on Ocean Avenue for breakfast and lunch. I also find great fresh produce at the Brentwood Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. When it comes to scenic hikes, I like Temescal Canyon in the Palisades and some trails just off Westridge in Brentwood. There's great mountain biking on the Westridge trails. I also love paddle boarding in the ocean—it's meditative and a physical challenge. My favorite place to watch the sunset is on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, right off Georgina Avenue. DE V E LOP ME N T COMPAN Y Your development company is called Cutting Edge. What inspired you to get into this side of the industry? I always loved architecture - it was on my top choices to study in college. Beautiful homes and unique design have been passions of mine from a young age, and it's so exciting and artistically fulfilling to be able to create a totally new design from scratch and have people fall in love with it. The development and design process brings me so much joy. WE LLN E S S You are known for being very in tune with your personal wellness—both mental and physical. Do you find it challenging to maintain a balance with the demands of your career? Not at all. It's easy for me to prioritize my wellness because I know what a difference it makes in my day-to-day life. I find that taking the time to care for my mental and physical health is what allows me to better handle the stressors and challenges of the business and be fully present for my clients. What are some things you do (activities, routines) that help you maintain your personal wellness? I wake up every day at 5 am for meditation. I practice breathing exercises and I like hot saunas and cold plunges. I also exercise every day. And I try not to look at my phone until my morning routine is over. AWARD-WIN N IN G IN DU STRY LE ADE R You're a world-renowned, top-ranked real estate agent and a popular guest speaker at real estate industry events. What advice do you give up-and-coming agents who aspire to reach your level of success? Work hard and enjoy the process. Be patient and persistent. You have achieved so many awards and accolades at this stage in your career. Is there one that stands out to you as being particularly meaningful? For me, the most significant award has been The Hollywood Reporter's Power Broker Award for Philanthropic Impact, which I received last year. I think it's very important to give back and was really proud to be recognized for doing so. C E LE B RITY C LIE N TS You have worked with many celebrity clients. What do you think is the key to gaining their trust and loyalty? The key is to be respectful of their privacy and have the ability to keep things quiet for yourself. Demonstrate the utmost discretion. Celebrities are just like everyone else, but the nature of their job lends them to being more exposed, so they treasure their privacy. Understanding that is important. H OB B IE S It's a new year—are you planning on taking up any new hobbies? Yes! I have started DJing. I find it fun and it's a great way to relax!
